Friday 18th June was the 100th anniversary of the Royal British Legion Scotland
and to mark the occasion and in memory of our past members, Lochbroom, Ullapool branch laid a wreath at the war memorial.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support us.
Lest we forget.

MALAWI PROJECT
I am pleased, and very relieved, to have delivered the contributions of knitting and sewing etc to the Banana Box Trust warehouse in Dundee. This week the container will be loaded and shipped on its way to Malawi. We were just in time to catch this dispatch.
We have had the usual excellent response and the totals are as follows: 508 knitted children’s jumpers, 18 knitted blankets, 2 patchwork quilts, 83 girl’s dresses, 8 boy’s shorts, 228 knitted hats, miscellaneous items such as socks, bootees and mitts and also a large monetary donation towards the transportation costs (also very necessary). Everything was new and handmade, which represented a lot of hard work on the part of many folk. It was all of excellent quality and I am sure it will be very well received by the recipients. I send a huge thank you to everyone who made such a big effort for the hospital and for the children.
I plan to take the next collection in Sept/Oct if the Covid situation allows. Any contributions can be handed in at any time to me or via the Church of Scotland but I will also put a notice in the UN nearer the time.
