Roadworks at Strathpeffer Square 31 Jan 2022 to 18 Feb 2022
Services 27 and 61 will be following a diverted route due to the closure of A834 Strathpeffer Square from Monday 31st of January until Friday 18th of February 2022.
Diversion route leaving Inverness - Service 27 from Inverness to Strathpeffer Kinellan Drive and Contin will terminate at Strathpeffer Square, and all passengers will walk through the works to catch a D&E coaches’ bus which will continue the service.
Service 61 will miss Strathpeffer completely and go direct to Contin via the A835.
Diversion route returning to Inverness - Service 27 from Strathpeffer/Contin to Inverness D&E will take passengers to Strathpeffer square and passengers will walk through the works to catch the service bus to Inverness.
Service 61 will miss Strathpeffer and go via the A835 to Dingwall. The drivers on the Service 61 buses should wait longer at the first stop after the diversion to make sure that they are at stops consistent with the current timetable, and don’t end up leaving bus stops earlier than passengers expect.

LOCAL LAD RECEIVES SALTIRE AWARD FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICE
West Sutherland Fisheries Trust was delighted to present Adam Barnes, 18, with his Saltire Award in recognition of more than 500 hours voluntary service. This amazing achievement resulted from his volunteering with the New Broom in Ullapool, the Ullapool District Pipe Band and not least the West Sutherland Fisheries Trust with whom he gained over 430 hours.
Adam is a regular and much appreciated contributor to the Trust, cheerfully assisting with any tasks set. Thanks to this, the Trust has managed to undertake a lot of work that would otherwise have been difficult or impossible. He has proved to be a competent fish biologist as well as turning his skills to computer work. This skill with computers has given the Trust a labour-saving programme to help with data analysis, which is truly amazing to the computer illiterate amongst us!
Everyone at the Trust would like to congratulate Adam on his achievement and thank him for all his help.
Nick Joy, Trustee of the WSFT, said: “it is wonderful to see such talent and commitment in someone so young. Our fragile water systems are under such pressure and to have someone like Adam leading a new generation of fish biologists in this area is crucial to the long-term future of our water ecosystems.”
Adam is a former pupil of Ullapool High School.
