Ullapool Nursery Rainbow Walk

Ullapool Nurseries would like to say a massive Congratulations to our Children who took part in a “Rainbow walk” raising money for CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) and Nursery. They raised an amazing £2267.73, half of the money raised goes to CHAS and half goes to Nursery. We are so lucky to have such a supportive and generous community, thank you to all who sponsored our children and to our parent helpers on the day.
By CHAS receiving £1133.86, it could pay for their weekly food bills, providing food for someone’s whole family when they stay at a CHAS organisation and could pay for an activities co-ordinator for a day helping children with very limited movement and communication opportunities to create treasured memories and the chance to socialise, connect and enjoy shared experiences.
Mòrain taing!

Bonfire Donations

Ullapool Fire and Light is getting ready for the Community Bonfire and Fireworks on Friday 4th November. If you have any spare wood to help build the bonfire, please contact Gordon Wink on 07713 387096 in advance. We would also like to encourage anyone who is dropping off items for the fire to help build it if possible – we love a big bonfire and it’s easier with more hands!  Thank you.

Sheila, Audrey and Tina will not be having a cake and sweet stall at the Community Bonfire Night on West Terrace this year. If anyone would like to take the opportunity to raise some money for their local organisation by taking it over please contact either Robert Hicks or Gordon Wink, Ullapool Fire & Light.
