FUNERAL NOTICES
Isobel Cowie died peacefully, at Raigmore Hospital, on Sunday, 5th March, 2023, aged 75 years. Beloved wife of the late ‘Billy’, loving mother of William, Michael & Nanette, and caring Nana to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Isobel will be sadly missed by her family and friends, near and far.
Funeral service information is still to be confirmed and will be shared via social media once known.

Manfred Peukert of The Old Surgery, West Terrace, died peacefully at home on Sunday 5 March 2023, aged 84 years, surrounded by his family.
Funeral service at the Church of Scotland, Ullapool on Tuesday 14 March at 1pm, thereafter to Morefield Cemetery, Ullapool. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. Donations are welcome for Rotary Club of Ullapool and Young Lives vs Cancer.

ULLAPOOL BOOK FESTIVAL TICKETS GO ON SALE
Tickets for the 19th (and final) Ullapool Book Festival (5 and 6 May) go on sale on Saturday 11 March at 9am.
The programme is now on the website www.ullapoolbookfestival.co.uk and tickets be bought by clicking through on there, or by going to www.ticketsource.co.uk/ullapool-book-festival.
If you don’t have access to the internet and can’t book online you can call Ticket Source on 0333 666 3366. A telephone service fee of £2 applies to all completed bookings. The Ticket Source box office service is currently available Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays).
As this is the final festival organisers expect that tickets will be in great demand. Festival chair Joan Michael said they have received numerous emails from people saying they will be sitting at their computers at 9am on Saturday with their lists of wanted tickets at the ready.

TWO ULLAPOOL MEN TO UNDERTAKE 880km PATAGONIA EXPEDITION
Will Goodall Copestake and Seumas Nairn, both from Ullapool, are hoping to embark on their third major expedition in Patagonia.
Will said: “This is the biggest and most committing of the three so far. We hope to follow an 880km route from Punta Arenas to Cape Horn. A journey entirely self supported on route with the aim to do so in under 40 days.”
