CONGRATULATIONS to Two Local Men
Well done to Jean-Marc Lawson for completing his 29th Yorkshire Three Peaks Race – the marathon with mountains on 29th April his year. An outstanding achievement, 24 miles, 5000ft of ascent in 5 hrs 19 mins. All the more incredible given he had a total hip replacement less than a year ago.
Congratulations to our local author, Stephen Keeler who has been awarded the 2022/2023 People’s Book Prize (Beryl Bainbridge Award) for his memoir in fragments of a foreign language ‘50 WORDS FOR LOVE IN SWEDISH’

Lochbroom Sailing Club News
Four new sailing dinghies have been purchased by the club due to a grant from the Highland Community Regeneration Fund, 1 RS Quest & 3 RS Zest. The Quest is big enough for an instructor with 2 or 3 pupils – good for parents and youngsters with the Zests which have room for 2 or can be single handed. Once the new Shore Street development is complete they will be down at the sailing club.
