Ullapool’s New Shore Street welcomed by all.

North of Ullapool, the village of Elphin will hold their annual Chicken Day on Saturday 16 Sept.
Due to avian flu the chickens themselves will not take part this year but a race of aptly dressed humans will race instead. There will be competitions for best chicken impression and craft models! Photographs of your chickens can be submitted with prizes for the prettiest hen and the most handsome cockerel.

Assynt Highland Games on Friday 11th August Culag Park, Lochinver.
These games were established in 1904, and this year will include field, track and heavy events, North of Scotland Fly casting event, flower produce and craft exhibits, piping, dancing competitions and a Hill Race.
