Update on Mo Dhachaidh

LBCC welcomes the news that the main building of Mo Dhachaidh has been bought by the charity Highland Hospice and will be leased to the NHS Highland.  This secures the present use of the ground floor for the GP PRACTICE, community nursing team, social work and other current users.  Discussions have been started in regard to the use of the upper floor as HighLand Hospice are not planning any care usage.

Grahame and Lorene Mackenzie are retiring from Ullapool Taxis after their family has been serving the local community for over 50 years.
Many thanks to them from everyone who has used this great service.

Luckily Ian and Jo Anderson are taking on this task for us all to use in the future.

The Ullapool News Team send their sincere condolences to the family of our former colleague at the paper, Barbara Jackson.  One of the longest standing staff members, more than 30/40 years, she always ready to lend a hand whatever the task.   Barbara also worked in various places throughout the village and was involved in several local organisations.
