After many years of serving our community Allison and Graham of Ullapool Nursery closed the poly tunnels for the last time. It has been a joy to visit, gain practical advice, have a friendly chat and of course buy plants and compost.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for supporting us for a number of years. Especially with the plants for Ullapool village tubs, hanging and railing baskets and allowing us to use your poly tunnel to plant the containers. You even watered and fed them too while they got established!
We will miss you both, but wish you well in your new chapter of retirement. Thank you for being a part of our story. With warmest regards,
Welcome Ullapool Committee

Statement from the Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland:
Construction works for the expansion of the Stac Pollaidh Car Park, Coigach, Sutherland, have begun this week.
The two-phase project, designed to give the estimated 50,000 annual visitors to Stac Pollaidh an improved experience, is being managed by the Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland (OATS), a leading environmental charity promoting sustainable public access throughout Scotland.
The development of the car park and toilet facilities comes in response to consistent over capacity at this very small car park which has resulted in roadside and passing place parking, hindering traffic flow on the single -track access road; local habitat degradation and muddy verges, as well as litter and fouling issues.
Phase one will see the current 20-space car park, accessed from the single-track road to Achiltibuie off the A835 to Ullapool, expanded to 78 spaces. CR Contracting North Ltd (CRC), who specialise in civil works, trail design and construction and environmental engineering, are carrying out the construction works for phase one. The car park is expected to be fully operational again by the end of December 2024, although parking spaces will be limited during construction.
