SCOTLAND’S MOST REMOTE NIGHTCLUB DATES
Scotland’s most remote club night – baile/baile – is set to return to the Highland village of Ullapool this November for its second series. The 2024/25 series will take place at Ullapool’s award-winning The Ceilidh Place Venue, a 100-capacity music venue and exhibition space in the heart of the village, with the first night in the series taking place on Saturday 9th of November.
The 2024/25 series comprises:
9th November – Tekhole and Lucky Dip + resident DJs 14th December – Mackerel Sky and Sweet Philly + resident DJs
8th February – Dansa and LWS + resident DJs
8th March (venue tbc) – Sof Sof and DADs + resident DJs
Tickets for the parties will be available to buy via Resident Advisor from £12. Tickets for the 8th of November will be available to purchase from Friday 18th of October at 19:00 via this link: https://ra.co/ events/2026171 .
Advanced booking is recommended and sell out is expected.

Ullapool-based Gaelic Choir performs at the Mod!
Còisir Ghàidhlig an Iar Thuath (the Gaelic Choir of the North West) performed at the Royal National Mòd in Oban last week.
We took part in two competitions for Rural Choirs, one of which was televised live on BBC Alba.
As in previous years, we faced stiff competition from choirs more than twice our size, and some with mainly native Gaelic speakers. But this year we peaked at the right time, and we were extremely proud of our performances!
We were also proud to represent our communities at this prestigious event.

We have stopped for 2024 on the Shearwater as the weather got too bad and also booking numbers have dropped rapidly. Not a bad season.
Seals, every trip. Sea Eagles and Porpoise fairly consistent through year. Dolphin peak season July to the start of October.
Thanks to all who came out or sent people out with us. Wish we could do it all year.
