Scottish Book Trust Ignite Fellows 2025
Congratulations to one of the award winning Ignite Fellows this year, Seaonaidh Charity. Originally from Lochbroom and who is now working as a secondary school teacher in Inverness whilst living on the Black Isle. This award will provide an opportunity for Seaonaidh to develop his craft and writing career through a project for poetry inspired by the people and places of the Highlands.

2024 Beach Clean Summary
747 volunteers with 482 beach cleans, removed 12,687 tonnes of rubbish from NorthWest beaches
The biggest clean was at Balchladich, Assynt with 2.55 tonnes removed from the 2 beaches over 2 Saturdays.
Lochbroom Community Council sponsored 135 clean ups around Ullapool with 2031 kg of plastic & rubbish being removed.
