SCOTTISH WILDLIFE TRUST purchase the Inverbroom Estate
The 7,618 hectare estate near Ullapool was purchased for £17.5 million following a large private donation to the SWT. The nature conservation charity plan to restore wildlife and habitats on the site to help tackle nature and climate crises. Working closely with the local community the Trust aims to transform the landscape through woodland regeneration, peatland restoration and nature friendly farming.
On Thursday 13th March Braemore Hall – The SWT are holding a community drop-in session for all interested .

The future of Badcaul Primary School
Mothballed since 2022 the Highland Council have deferred making their decision about the future of this school. The local community councillor welcomes this, and is relieved it has been recognised that the journey , a two hour round trip to Ullapool, is problematic for small children.
