Coigach Gathering Tombola:
Donations of prizes for the really popular tombola are needed. Should you have some new, unwanted items you would like to donate, please drop them off at the Hall. There will be a donations basket in the foyer. Thank you from the Coigach Gathering Organisers.

Entries are invited under the following categories:
“Mountain and Shore”
“Doors”
“Traditions and Cultures”
“Creatures, Great and Small”
Junior entrants (12 and younger) – same categories, with one top image overall.
The one best image from each of the above 5 (four categories + best junior entry) will go into a public vote on the day (Sat 5th July 2025) for “BEST IN SHOW.” Max four entries per person, JPEGs only, by email (address details next week), one image per email, max 5Mb per image, entries close midnight Friday 27th June.
Prizes – modest.
Entry fee – NONE! Zip, zero, zilch!
Creativity – appreciated.
Judges – Vicious, and their decision is final!

50 people gathered on the Ullapool shoreline on Wednesday last week, to call for a full UK arms embargo and UK government sanctions on Israel. Protestors also called for an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted provision of aid for Gaza. Dressed in red, and holding a red cord and placards, the group formed a line along the length of Shore Street, observed by passing cars and pedestrians.
Ullapool’s red-line vigil took place at the same time as a red line was created by pro-Palestine protestors around Parliament in London. Speaking after the event, a member of the group said: “Today, the International Red Cross described Gaza as ‘worse than hell on earth’. People are shot and killed as they try to access aid sites. History will judge our country and our government harshly because of our failure to call the Israeli government to account for its inhumane, violent and illegal aggression against a defenceless and maimed people.”
