CONSULTATION ON NEW HOUSING PROJECT BY ULLAPOOL GOLF COURSE
Bracewell Stirling Consulting on behalf of Highland Council, Highland Housing Alliance and Compass Building and Construction Services are conducting a pre-application consultation on the following development proposals:
Mixed tenure affordable and private housing, open space and associated infrastructure at Land to West of Golf Course, Ullapool
DROP IN SESSION will take place at MACPHAIL CENTRE, Ullapool High School, Mill Street, Ullapool, IV26 2UN
from 4PM UNTIL 7 PM ON THURSDAY 7 AUGUST 2025, when the proposals can be discussed with the design team.
Proposals can also be viewed online from 7 Aug at www.bracewell-stirling.co.uk/ullapool/
Please Note: No Application has been submitted to the Highland Council in relation to this proposal.
Any comments made to the prospective applicant at this time are not representations to the Council and would not be considered as part of any future application.
If the prospective applicant subsequently submits a formal application for planning permission there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to the Council.

FUNDING SECURED BY LUCT
Lochbroom and Ullapool Community Trust (LUCT) in Partnership with the NHS – Highland Community Partnership’s Whole Family Well-Being Programme and Think Health Think Nature
has secured two-year funding to facilitate the green healthcare project, “Stepping Stones”.
The project, which has a sister programme in Kinlochleven, aims to improve the health and well-being of the whole community – with a special focus on children and families to access nature through a range of creative mental and physical activities.
The project follows on from NHS Highland’s research proving the benefits of nature-based activities for mental and physical health.
It aims to test the benefits of having someone building access to resources from within the community. The impacts will be evaluated by UHI researchers.
LUCT’s newly appointed Green Health Co-Ordinator Kirsten Walton will work across the Ullapool High School catchment area, alongside the many existing groups locally to increase uptake and identify the barriers that families come across in accessing activities.
