NEW BUS SERVICE INVERNESS-ULLAPOOL
Coach firm Ember have announced they are launching a new service from Inverness to Ullapool. The all-electric coach operator recently revealed the route on its E18 bus service. From 29 April, there will be two return journeys each day between Inverness and Ullapool.
***for local residents – they are operating in line with the ferry, that is at the same times as the Stagecoach bus service so more seats but no more time in Inverness for appointments etc.***

Aeroplane Flats Anniversary Service, Old Kirk , Inchnadamph
A service has been organised by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Sutherland to be held on Saturday 18th April 2026 at 11:00 to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Avro Anson crash on Ben More Assynt in 1941.

The aircraft and her six crew were on a training flight out of Kinloss following a route via Oban, Stornoway, and Cape Wrath before returning to. Unfortunately, due to a severe weather conditions, the aircraft crashed over 2000 feet high North West of Ben More Assynt in near white out conditions. It wasn’t until the 25th May, six weeks after the crash, that the aircraft was discovered with all six crew members killed.
It is the only site in Scotland where the crew are still buried on site and is colloquially known as “Aeroplane flats”.

Lavinia’s Reclaim Life Road Trip
Club House (Ullapool Golf Course) on Tuesday 21 April at 7.30pm
Lavinia, a beautiful 100 year old Talbot 14/45 motor car is an ambassador for the mental health charity Reclaim Life. Lavinia is doing a 3000-mile road trip around Britain and will be in Ullapool on Tuesday 21st of April. Harry Sear the founder of Reclaim Life will be the co-driver and he is using the trip to try to get the opportunity to speak to communities about setting up their own Reclaim Life help group.
They have reached out to Rotary Clubs along the route to ask for assistance.
This is not a Rotary meeting and Ullapool Rotary Club have no other connection or experience of Reclaim Life.
