FINALIST FOR INDEPENDANT BOOKSHOP OF THE YEAR
Ullapool Bookshop has been selected as a Regional and Country Finalist for Independent Bookshop of the Year (sponsored by Gardners), in Scotland.
10 bookshops have been chosen in Scotland, to form part of an amazing list of 72 shops which will all be considered by a panel of judges, with the Regional winner announced on March 11 and the final winner for the UK to be announced at a prestigious ceremony in London in May.

This is wonderful news for Ullapool and the Bookshop team who work hard all year round to welcome authors, events, new books, greetings cards, stationery and more and also to supply regular and local customers 7 days a week.

SURFACING IMPROVEMENTS PLANNED FOR A835 SOUTH OF CONTIN
works to begin on Thursday 20 February
Lane closure with convoy.
On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surfacing improvements on the A835 south of Contin, with  works underway on Thursday 20 February. The works are scheduled to take place overnight for seven days with works planned between 8pm on Thursday 20 February and 6am on Fridav 28 February. To ensure the safety of our workforce and members of the public, temporary traffic lights with a  10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours
